The SweetLisS was designed for use in the fashion sector, where there was a need for an extremely gentle (and extremely effective) styling technique as models are restyled many times a day…
Closer to the average use is that of our models, who in our exhibitions use it every morning, and still keep their hair in good condition and looking great.
The secret? Your hair is caressed and not stretched (and broken) by a round brush. The heat of the SweetLisS is applied for one second in any one place and isn’t accompanied by hot, drying air like a normal hair dryer.
The majority of our customers use their SweetLisS in the following way: Complete, meticulous styling once or twice a week, applying the SweetLisS to fine locks of hair. The rest of the week, just a quick re-style, applying the SweetLisS to thicker bunches of hair, just to smarten up.
If, however, you need to look your best every day, don´t hold yourself back!!
Obviously, regularly using hair-care products can only help to make your hair look even better!
In accordance with EU regulations, the SweetLisS should be used on dry hair.
For the safety of our customers, European safety regulations preclude the use of hair styling appliances on wet hair.
Any hair styling appliance which claims that it can be used on wet hair is in contravention of EU regulations.
Firstly, you need to be aware of the comb’s position when you’re taking hold of a lock of hair.
Then, when you apply the SweetLisS to your hair, the comb must be facing away from the scalp. This position ensures that your hair is combed before it enters the heated parts of the SweetLisS. This substantially improves the quality of styling.
If you get the comb the wrong way around, not only do you lose this advantage, but also the comb will get stuck in your hair and the result will be less than desired.
Smoke or steam can be given off at times, this is only normal.
In fact, it’s never your hair that is producing the smoke, but rather what is on your hair.
There will be smoke or steam:
When your hair is wet
When there are hair styling products on your hair (mousse, gel, oil)
When, despite rinsing, there remains shampoo or detangler in your hair.
When you hair has sebum (as in greasy hair).
When there is dust or pollution (as there often is in cities)
Naturally, everybody wonders about this, because you can feel that if you were to touch the heating elements you would get burnt.
In fact, our body’s thermometer is our skin and that’s how we judge the temperature of heated appliances.
Our skin feels a burning sensation, from 50° to 60°C. Hair, on the other hand, withstands temperatures six times as high.
Our hair and our skin are, in that respect, very different.
SweetLisS’ operating temperature, which was selected to be the lowest possible, is actually harmless for all types of hair.
The SweetLisS works throughout the world.
There’s no need to worry about varying voltages (110 or 220 volts) or frequencies (50 or 60 hertz), the SweetLisS automatically adapts to these.
You will, of course need to be able to plug it in. Therefore, according to the country you’re visiting, you’ll need to get hold of the appropriate adapter.
There are two versions of SweetLisS. One in standard white ceramic, and one in an aluminised ceramic (a special ionised alloy) unique and patented to SweetLisS.
As a manufacturer, we prefer this patented technology to all others for the following reasons:
This technology allows the use of a lesser heat on your hair. A perfect result on all types of hair at 175° is better than the 200°C to 230°C of ceramic models. Apart from that, laboratory tests show that in contrast to ceramic models, use of the SweetLisS doesn’t necessitate a silk-protein based protection product.
The heating surfaces are smoother than standard ceramic, thereby considerably reducing friction on the hair.
The heating plates on the SweetLisS are unbreakable and not subject to wear, in contrast with ceramic models, which are prone to crack, peel, or even break if they are subject to a fall or a hard knock.
This smooth, non-abrasive material and the gentle temperature make the SweetLisS an appliance that you can use every day to quickly touch up your hair on a morning and to thoroughly style after you wash your hair.
The SweetLisS operates at 175°C
This temperature was selected after laboratory trials, which showed the following results on all types of hair:
Below 175°C, hair lacks shine and the styling doesn’t hold well.
Above 175°C there is no extra shine, nor better hold. This extra heating serves no purpose.
In addition, the SweetLisS has self-regulating heating elements which always keep it at the correct temperature.
Yes, and the adjustment is automatic. This gives the assurance of always being at the correct temperature.
Even in this time of globalisation and industrial relocation, the SweetLisS is made IN FRANCE!
Among its competitors, it’s the only one made in Europe.
This closeness guarantees unequalable quality and reliability as well as a super-fast after-sales service.
It does, of course, comply with European safety regulations.
This question may seem surprising, however….
The SweetLisS need never be thrown away: you have it for life. If there’s a fault, our after sales service will repair it
· At moderate cost.
· In a very short timeframe.
The SweetLisS, of all hairstyling appliances, is the one which uses the least electricity, with a power consumption of only 25W
Compared to other models, the SweetLisS treats your hair better, due to its low operating temperature and non-abrasive surfaces.
The SweetLisS is the most reliable appliance of its type, with a breakdown ratio of just 0.5%.
